NewsMeeting with Higher Education and Finance Ministers

As decided by our Steering Committee and Working Committee, the state office-bearers of KPCTA, under the leadership of our President, Dr U. Abdul Khalam, met Hon. Finance Minister, Hon. H. E. Minister, and the Principal Secretaries at Thiruvananthapuram yesterday (22.06.2021) and handed over our representations on various issues.  The visiting team comprised the President, the General Secretary Dr Premachandran Keezhoth, Treasurer Dr T. Muhammedali, Vice Presidents Dr Cherian John and Dr Joe Prasad Mathew, Secretary Mr Rony George and the Syndicate Member Mr R. Arunkumar. The major issues we raised for discussion with the Govt included the persisting problems in the pay fixation and SPARK, undue delay in granting stage promotions and the option of Regulations 2010 for three years, extending the date for OC/RC, Advance Increments, Parity, appointing permanent DDs, Pension scheme, PG weightage/last post workload, and granting Child Care Leave.  The ministers responded favourably and assured us that these issues will be seriously considered for an early appropriate action.
